An Old Man's Musings

Questions to ponder: There is so much noise in Life, and I can barely hear my own thoughts, so when or where do I have time to listen? Not hear, but really listen. Maybe in a forest where the birds sing, or at night when the crickets sound. But even then, am I listening for what I should, what I need?

Noise from everywhere with everyone speaking and telling me what I should think and do, how I should feel, and how I am failing and how to make myself better. I can barely hear my own thoughts, much less those of GOD if, and when, He speaks to me. I know GOD is speaking to me all the time, usually indirectly through others, but sometimes directly. His messages are usually quiet and subtle, and unfortunately, I tend to lose His words in all the background noise of modern life. I have noticed that I am more able to listen to GOD during my quiet times when I am meditating or resting, or in the twilight of dawn just before I wake. It is during those times, after I empty my mind of all the  worries of this world, that I seem to able to hear GOD's wishes and guidance. But even during those quiet times while I am listening to His words and message, I do not always hear what He has to say or teach me. If I did actually hear and give attention to His messages, then I would obey Him and I would not always be sinning and stumbling through this life as often as I seem to do... Just an Old Man's Musings....

SURPRISE!! This page is not copyrighted.  If you find some words or thoughts that you can use, freely use as you wish, and give credit if you want. We all know where this came from, and it is not me, but GOD, so use what you need, and then pray and thank our GOD. Do not ever thank me, as I am only a channel for our Lord. Think of me as maybe being a very small and feeble beam of light pointing the way towards the Light of Christ. God Bless You All! Last modified: June 21, 2013(AL).
