An Old Man's Musings

Questions to ponder: Have you ever really sat down and thought about you might describe in material terms, so others could understand, what GOD and Eternal Life in heaven with Him means to you? Or maybe you haven't ever thought about it. Give it a try, and then after you have your idea, try mine below.

I might think of GOD and Eternal Life as the first car that my dad showed me in a magazine. The one he said he would buy for me, and I could some day have for my very own, if I was good, if I kept good grades, if I did what he wanted. Each day I open that magazine and look at my future car, and wonder when it would finally be mine. I wonder why I cannot have it now? And is it fair? Yes, I am excited that someday it will be mine, but am depressed and frustrated that I cannot have it right now. Worse, I see others finally get theirs, and know they are happy when they drive away into the sunset. So each every day, I live and enjoy what I have now, but each day I look in the now worn-out and torn magazine. I wishfully think about my first car and all the freedom and joy it will someday give me, and I think with envy of the others that have theirs. I am torn between just sitting here staring into the magazine and praying and begging for my first car and dreaming of all the fun and freedom I will someday have with it, or sadly walking away and accepting and enjoying what I am blessed with this minute, this hour, and this day.... Just an Old Man's Musings....

SURPRISE!! This page is not copyrighted.  If you find some words or thoughts that you can use, freely use as you wish, and give credit if you want. We all know where this came from, and it is not me, but GOD, so use what you need, and then pray and thank our GOD. Do not ever thank me, as I am only a channel for our Lord. Think of me as maybe being a very small and feeble beam of light pointing the way towards the Light of Christ. God Bless You All! Last modified: June 21, 2013(AL).
